Closed production area due to very high bacterial levels in mussels

The latest analysis results from the National Food Administration showed very high bacterial levels in mussels (approximately 5,5 times the limit value) in the production area Lyresund, southwest Orust. The National Food Administration has therefore decided to close the production area for the time being. The production area Boxvik's wedge just north of Lyresund also showed bacterial levels above the limit value. Therefore, there is reason to assume that a large area is affected.
