On 1 May, Region Skåne will take over the operation of the ambulance at Ven. In connection with this, ambulance care on the island is changing.
Until now, Ven has had a unique solution for ambulance operations. An ambulance vehicle has been manned by a nurse living on the island and has been driven by the island's volunteer fire brigade.
Region Skåne is now introducing an ambulance organization on Ven which is similar to the operations in the rest of Skåne and which is sustainable in the long term.
