New plans for cormorants

The Government has today commissioned the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and the Swedish Marine and Water Authority to revise the national management plan for cormorants.

- The cormorant administration must, among other things, aim for the population to be sustainable from a coastal environment perspective and the government believes that there is reason to revise the management plan to include more perspectives, increased knowledge and changed hunting regulations, says Minister of Rural Affairs Anna-Caren Sätherberg.
