The marine environments are exposed in many ways, for example to environmental toxins, exploitation, eutrophication, alien species and climate change. The Marine Remote sensing project is developing a new method to be able to monitor the condition in coastal environments.
The County Administrative Board of Västerbotten has been commissioned by the Swedish Maritime Administration to work with researchers at the University of Gothenburg to develop a method for following developments in shallow coastal environments. The focus is on testing, developing and combining different remote sensing methods.
