Coastguards are working to clean up oil. SSRS also participates in the search for the oil.

Oil has been found on Öckerö and several nearby islands in the Gothenburg archipelago. It's still about minor ailments and lumps. Since Thursday, the Coast Guard, the rescue service and Öckerö municipality have been working to clean up the oil.

It is estimated that the Coast Guard has taken a total of between 900 and 1000 liters of oil from the sea - most in connection with the oil being released on Wednesday night. The oil that is now discovered is on or near land and is resource-intensive to clean up:

- The oil is found between rocks, in seaweed gravel and on rock slabs where it is difficult to access. We clean the oil by hand with shovels, scrapers and rakes, which is very time-consuming, says rescue leader Hanna Bühler Adolfsson.
