During the summer, the Swedish Maritime Administration is carrying out extensive modernization work among its lighthouses in western Sweden. The work is about both increasing the lighthouses' operational safety and about improving maritime safety in the area.
There are about twenty lighthouses between Varberg and the Norwegian border that will be modernized. The work is carried out by the Swedish Maritime Administration's work vessel Fyrbjörn with crew.
